In 1978, the same year Ron and his 2 sons located the Red Sea Crossing site, they also went into Egypt for the first time. Ron had already done his research on Joseph and believed he identified him in ancient records. He went directly to the Step Pyramid Complex in Sakkara which he believed was the only candidate for the site of grain distribution to foreigners during the 7 years of famine. What he found there was even more evidence than he had dared hope for.
